RNA molecules can be modified by enzymes through the addition or removal of chemical groups, but the roles of these modifications in the regulation of both mRNAs and non-coding RNAs are not fully understood.
With this collection, the editors at Nature Communications, Communications Biology and Scientific Reports welcome submissions of articles that focus on the roles of RNA modifications and the mechanisms through which they impact the cell. We are also interested in research about the enzymes responsible for modifying RNA and reading those modifications in different biological contexts, and in new methods to identify and characterise RNA modifications.
This Collection is open for submissions from all authors – and not by invitation only – on the condition that the manuscripts fall within the scope of the Collection and of Nature Communications, Communications Biology, and Scientific Reports more generally.
All manuscripts will be considered for publication according to the editorial policies of the specific journal which they are submitted through Nature Communications, Communications Biology, and Scientific Reports. Visit Nature Portfolio’s Collections guidelines for more details.
When submitting your manuscript to Nature Communications, Communications Biology, or Scientific Reports via our online submission system, please choose the appropriate Collection title from the drop-down menu on the submission form. Please be sure to express your interest in the Collection in your cover letter.
