In this Letter, the ‘Diet 1’ formulation was incorrectly referenced as our previously published diet (ref. 7 of the Letter). The correct amino acid composition of the diets was stated in the Methods, but we omitted to describe further minor adjustments that were made to improve the cohesion of food pellets made from this powder-based diet. The original Baker formulation (used in ref. 7 of this Letter) contains 26% sucrose, 5% corn oil and 42% corn starch; however, we used 15% sucrose, 8% corn oil and 50% corn starch. The Methods of the original Letter have been corrected to reflect these differences, and the Supplementary Information to this Corrigendum contains the full formulations of all the experimental diets used in this study.
