Abstract
Replying to: S. S. Singh & K. C. Macdonald Nature 458, 10.1038/nature07887 (2009)
We think that the Singh and Macdonald1 description of the experimental uncertainties in our data2 is a misrepresentation of what we have done, and that they are incorrect in stating that our results2 on the structure of the uppermost mantle in the subaxial region beneath the East Pacific Rise are unconstrained by data.
