Non-viral DNA complexes encoding cytosolic SAP injected into B16 melanoma-bearing mice are able to induce an antitumor effect. Subcutaneous B16 tumors with a diameter of 5 mm were injected with 50 μg/animal of pCI (control) or pCI-SAP complexed with lipofectamine (a) or DOTAP (b and c). The effect of single (a and b) or repeated (c) administrations was monitored. The time of injection is indicated by arrows. Results are presented as mean±s.e. of five animals per group.
