C-reactive protein and metabolic syndrome

In the paper by Bosy-Westphal et al.,1 the authors concluded that measurement of body fat mass has no advantage over body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference in the prediction of obesity-related metabolic risk, and suggested an equivalent value of BMI and waist circumference. However, I have a query if C-reactive protein (CRP) values in their Table 3 were mis-calculated.

The mean CRP values in their subjects with metabolic syndrome were lower than those without metabolic syndrome in both sexes in the Table 3. In contrast, all other risk factors, except for high-density lipoprotein cholesterol were higher in those with metabolic syndrome than those without metabolic syndrome in this table.
