Injury prevention and control

Submission status
Open
Submission deadline

Injuries – both accidental and as a result of violence – are a leading cause of death, accounting for 8% of all fatalities worldwide. Meanwhile, non-fatal injuries affect tens of millions of people and cost billions of dollars in healthcare and opportunity costs each year. Young people and those with lower socioeconomic status are particularly vulnerable.

This Collection welcomes original research on the prevention and control of injuries related to road traffic accidents, gun and domestic violence, and other causes.
