Peter J. Kahrilas
Dr Peter J Kahrilas is currently the Gilbert H. Marquardt Professor of Medicine and Chief of Gastroenterology at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University. He attended college at Yale University, medical school at the University of Rochester in New York and a residency in internal medicine at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland. After four years of GI fellowship at Northwestern and at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr Kahrilas joined the Northwestern faculty and has been there ever since. Dr Kahrilas has published over 120 original papers, 45 book chapters, and one book on topics of esophageal and swallowing disorders. His present research focus is on esophageal physiology and pathophysiology.
John E. Pandolfino
Dr John E. Pandolfino is Assistant Professor, Division of Gastroenterology at Northwestern University. He received his M.D. from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, residency training in internal medicine and fellowship training in gastroenterology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Dr Pandolfino has recently received a degree in clinical investigation. He has published extensively on gastrointestinal complications in surgery, pH monitoring of esophageal acid exposure, clinical use of esophageal manometry, and therapies and management of disorders of gastrointestinal motility.
