Abstract
I am currently a joint foundation and core trainee in my second year of training. My rotational programme has included eight months in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, eight months in general practice, followed by eight months in community dental services. This article aims to summarise what longitudinal training is, as well as its advantages and drawbacks.
