Radio counterpart of the X-ray source 3U0901–09

Abstract

A RECENTLY published position1 of the X-ray source 3U0901-09 obtained from the Ariel V experiment overlaps the extent of the Abell cluster A754. Previous radio continuum observations of this area2 revealed a complicated radio emission distribution. We are mapping a sample of Abell clusters and have made a map of the area containing A754. We find that the position ellipse of the X-ray source is in good agreement with a radio source complex with a very steep spectrum.
