The American Association for the Advancement of Science and the newly-formed Mexican National Council on Science and Technology (Conacyt) jointly sponsored a meeting in Mexico City from June 20 to July 4 on the theme Science and Man in the Americas. In this article our Washington Correspondent describes and discusses the meeting.
