Abstract
CHLORDIMEFORM (also known as chlorphenamidine or Galecron) is a relatively new acaricide-insecticide of which the mode of action has not been elucidated. It is an economically important pesticide1,2 and is also an interesting compound from a toxicological point of view, as it is effective against many organophosphate and carbamate resistant pests3, and causes distinctly different symptoms in insects from conventional insecticides. In addition, it is of pharmacological interest because it belongs to a novel group of insecticides which possess a formamidine moiety.
