Conjugation Defect in Tyramine-sensitive Migraine

Abstract

IN about 30% of patients with classical migraine, headaches can be provoked by tyramine and tyramine containing foods1. There is some evidence that ingested tyramine gains access to the circulation of subjects with such dietary migraine more readily than to that of controls, although the mechanisms by which it triggers a migraine attack remain largely speculative.
