Lactate Dehydrogenase Genes in Rodents

Abstract

A phylogenetic distribution of a lactate dehydrogenase control gene has been found in rodents. The Myomorpha and Geomyoidea do not synthesize the B sub-unit of this enzyme, and this character has interesting taxonomic consequences.
