Effect of Cocaine, Desipramine and Angiotensin on Uptake of Noradrenaline in Tissues of Pithed Rats

An Erratum to this article was published on 16 March 1968

Abstract

SYMPATHETIC nerves have been shown to be the site of uptake of circulating noradrenaline. The extent of sympathetic innervation of an organ seems to determine the uptake of radioactive noradrenaline after intravenous injection if allowance is made for the volume of blood flow to the organ and its endogenous noradrenaline content1.
