Abstract
The three chief groups of soluble proteins of the chick lens can be dissociated by reagents which break hydrogen bonds. The dissociation is partly reversible and the sub-units can form combinations not present in the normal lens. Immunological studies indicate that a heteropolymer structure may be general for lens proteins.
