Abstract
THIS report summarizes some of the effects of the tropylium ion, C7H7+ (tr+), on the terminal respiratory processes of heart mitochondria. The mitochondria were prepared by the method of Chance and Hagihara1, and suspended in 0.25 molar sucrose/l mmolar ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA).
