Soft Tissue Retention of Strontium-90 in the Beagle

Abstract

PREVIOUS investigations1–4 have led us to conclude that in the beagle, strontium-90 is deposited almost exclusively in the skeleton. This report concerns the retention of strontium-90 by non-mineralized tissue. The tissues selected for analysis were limited to the liver, kidneys and spleen, paralleling the investigations of the soft tissue retention of radium-226 (ref. 5).
