Jebel Marra Volcano, Sudan

Abstract

HAMMERTON'S suggestion1 that the volcano of Jebel Marra is dormant rather than extinct is not only of considerable vulcanological interest, but also of considerable practical importance to the future development of the area at present being investigated by the United Nations.
