Abstract
IT has been reported1 that orally administered neomycin lowers the serum-cholesterol level in man, and these results were confirmed in other studies2–4. Neamine and kanamycin have only a moderate effect, whereas streptomycin and dihydrostreptomycin are inactive3,4.
