Abstract
FATTY acids per se were found to affect respiratory activity, phosphorylation, and several other metabolic processes in studies with animal tissues1. Many specific inhibitory effects of fatty acids, such as inhibition of kidney enzyme activity, bacteria and virus growth, and cholesterol synthesis are also reported.
