Abstract
IN the course of investigations into the actions of certain anti-depressant compounds on the excitatory response to amphetamine in rats1, we have found that L-α-methyl-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (α-Me DOPA) antagonizes the reserpine-induced modifications to the amphetamine response, but that the observed effects of this interaction are completely different if the α-Me DOPA is given after, rather than before, the reserpine.
