Abstract
A CASE of apparent resistance of the common rat to anticoagulant poisons occurred in 1958 on a farm in West Scotland1. The infestation was eliminated by April 1959. In September 1961 it was reported that the farm was again heavily infested with rats. 91 rats were trapped in September, released in a proofed room (17 ft. 6 in. × 7 ft. 6 in.) and given the standard laboratory diet (diet 41B).
