Abstract
THE tricyanomethanide ion C(CN)−3 has been known for some time1, but its chemistry has only recently been investigated2, and its vibrational spectra and structure have not been previously reported. We give here a summary of our recent investigation of the infra-red and Raman spectra of the potassium salt of this ion.
