Abstract
THE competitive inhibition of tryptophan-pyrrolase, adaptive formation by ethionine1 and preferential incorporation of valine-14C into the enzyme protein after injection of the inducing agent2 would indicate that this increase of enzymic activity is brought about through the synthesis of a new enzyme protein.
