Abstract
STARTING from the assumption that auto-immune processes occur in irradiated animals as well as normal animals1, we have succeeded in inducing experimental allergic encephalomyelitis in irradiated rats2. In order to examine the specificity of that phenomenon, several homogenized organ tissues mixed with adjuvant were used, such as brain, liver, lung and pancreas. Of the organs used in these investigations, lung tissue mixed with adjuvant produced the symptoms of experimental allergic encephalomyelitis.
