Abstract
A HIGH enrichment of radioactive fall-out products was recently reported in plant ash from southern Sweden1. The highest values were recorded in plants growing near the coast or upon pronounced hills, while plants growing in lowland regions at greater distances from the sea gave the lowest values. In all the samples examined the natural radioactivity was quite subordinate to the radioactivity caused by fallout.
