Incorporation of α,ω-Dicarboxylic Acids as Side-chains into the Penicillin Molecule

Abstract

WHILE a considerable number of biosynthetic penicillins have been obtained by adding different side-chain precursors to the culture medium, the incorporation of aliphatic dicarboxylic acids into the penicillin molecule does not as yet seem to have been reported.
