Emission and Absorption Spectra of NCO and NCS

Abstract

SEVERAL polyatomic free radical spectra have been observed in fluorescence when various compounds are irradiated with Schumann ultra-violet radiation. Neuimin and Terenin1 observed the spectrum of NH2 in emission with this technique, and Style and co-workers have reported several fluorescence spectra which they have assigned to HCO (ref. 2), HCOO (ref. 3), CH3O (ref. 4) and C2H5O (ref. 4).
