Abstract
FOR most problems connected with the properties of surfaces a need is felt for an apparatus which permits a rapid determination of the heats of adsorption. A suitable calorimeter was constructed, therefore, to determine the heat evolved when solid surfaces come into contact with different amounts of liquids. The calorimeter can determine heats of adsorption as low as 0.001 cal./gm. and the time of each determination is of the order of 30 min.
