Abstract
IT has hitherto proved difficult to obtain molecular weight determinations on polyethylene terephthalate because normal values (approximately 20,000) fall in an experimentally difficult region. Recently, however, a method based on deuteration of the end groups has been developed for determining the number average molecular weight of this polymer.
