Abstract
IN the field of plant pathology, hyperparasitism is an uncommon phenomenon. Recently, Pon et al. 1 have reported on a new bacterial parasite of the rust fungi, Puccinia spp. Since the latter are widespread pathogens for wheat, the bacterium involved may be regarded as a secondary parasite.
