Abstract
IN a recent communication, Purcell1 has discussed the experiments of Adám, Janóssy and Varga2, Brown and Twiss3, and Brannen and Ferguson4 on photon correlation, and has given the results of a theoretical treatment of the phenomena. Purcell's equation 3 can be obtained from a very simple model which may help to indicate the nature of the physical processes involved.
