Excretion Equations and Interpretation for Digitoxin

Abstract

DR. J. SWINTOSKY has made a valuable addition to the literature of urinary excretion equations by enabling a specific velocity constant, k, to be derived from the rate of urinary excretion. The meaning of k is not discussed and superficially it appears to depend only on excretion. Our work on inulin has shown us that this is not the case, and it appears useful to give a more general derivation of Swintosky's equation (4) and also to assign a physical meaning to the constant K of that equation.
