Abstract
THE tetrasporangium of Furcellaria fastigiata (L.) Lamour. remains uninucleate for five months or more before the tetraspores are formed. The meiotic divisions then take place rapidly throughout the numerous sporangia and have been observed at Aberystwyth between November 9 and 15.
