Abstract
Trifolium is a genus displaying very little interspecific compatibility, and any methods which would make possible species hybridization are worthy of trial. Michurinist geneticists in the U.S.S.R. claim that ‘vegetative rapprochement’ can be used for making distant crosses compatible. This led us to explore the possibilities of applying such grafting methods in the genus Trifolium. There is an abundance of literature available on this subject, but only a few examples relating to this work will be cited here.
