Abstract
ON the shore of the Great Bitter Lake in the neighbourhood of Fayid, the most conspicuous member of the molluscan fauna is a gastropod which, according to the authorities at the British Museum (Natural History), belongs to the species Murex tribulus. The shells at once attract attention by their remarkable variability.
