Abstract
THE only molecular compounds of graphite previously reported in the literature are the graphite–ferric chloride compound, described by Rüedorff and Schulz1, the compounds of graphite with chromyl chloride and chromyl fluoride reported by Croft and Thomas2, and the compound with aluminium chloride noted by Croft3. This communication records the successful preparation of many new compounds of the same type.
