Abstract
THE effectiveness of methyl bromide as a fumigant for insect-infested timber has been reported by Burden and McMullen1. In view of its use as a fungicide for soil sterilization, it seemed desirable to investigate its value as a sterilizing agent for timber infected by staining and wood-destroying fungi.
