Abstract
IN the estimation of ‘crude fibre’ by the Weende method, no provision has been made for the effects of altitude and consequent lowered boiling points of the acid and alkali. The Kabete Laboratories are situated at an altitude of 6,200 ft. and the solutions boil at 94° C.
