Antagonism between Trypaflavine and Cations

Abstract

ALBERT et al.1 have proved the existence of a definite competition between hydrogen ions and acridine ions for the same position on an enzyme surface, which should be a negatively charged point on the bacterial surface. According to these authors, this point might be, for example, the dissociating acidic group of a respiratory enzyme.
