Parahydrogen Catalysis by Transition Metals

Abstract

WE have made experiments to test the hypothesis put forward in a recent review article1 that the activation of hydrogen gas by the transition metals is connected with the presence of unpaired d-electrons or holes in the electronic d-band of the metal.
