Abstract
"TIME Study and Common Sense" is a disappointing book. Mr. Cohen explains in his preface that it consists mainly of lectures given to "Time Study engineers" at Royal Ordnance factories. It may be that the book lacks some of the author‘s personal exposition which may have made his arguments clearer in the lecture room than they are in the book. There is so much misunderstanding and misrepresentation about time study, and so many rather ponderous text-books have been published about it, that a new examination in the light of common sense would have been especially welcome. It is very much to be regretted that Mr. Cohen‘s work adds nothing but a vague confusion to the subject.
