Abstract
IN a series of short newspaper articles in New Zealand, Prof. V. J. Chapman (professor of botany at Auckland University College) gives the conclusions he has reached on a problem of much interest to botanists and tree-lovers the world over, namely, the preservation of that remarkable tree, the kauri (Agathis australis Salisb.).
