Abstract
IT has gradually become apparent that the carcinogenic activity of 3 : 4 benzpyrene is linked with sulphur metabolism1. Some experiments have, therefore, been carried out to attempt to determine whether another biological property of 3 : 4 benzpyrene, namely, its photodynamic action, is involved with sulphur. These were done by measuring the photodynamic activity of the benzpyrene in the presence of sulphur containing compounds.
