Abstract
TWO and a half years ago the British Army education scheme as we know it to-day was officially launched as the “greatest experiment in adult education that has been undertaken in this country”. During its period of growth the scheme has come in for a great deal of publicity, adverse and otherwise. A review of its progress may be of use in helping to assess its value as an indication of the way in which adult education is likely to develop in Great Britain in future years.
