Abstract
EDUCATIONAL reforms, large and small, are in the air. A great many people are taking advantage of the upheaval produced by the War to overhaul the existing educational machinery and to discover its weaknesses. Sometimes the material that is taught needs modernizing, sometimes it is the method of teaching that is wrong, sometimes there is a failure to arouse the latent interest and enthusiasm of a child in the fascinating natural phenomena that abound.
