Abstract
IN an earlier communication from this laboratory1 a method of canalizing neutrons was described which made it possible to investigate the action of these particles at distances of a metre and upwards from weak sources. In the interval, apparatus capable of producing powerful beams of neutrons and penetrating X- or gamma rays has been developed in many laboratories.
