Abstract
NINETY-EIGHT representatives of seven International Unions and twenty countries attended the third General Assembly of the International Council, held in the rooms of the Royal Society, London, under the presidency of Prof. N. E. Norlund. At the opening meeting on April 27, the Council was first welcomed by Sir William Bragg, president of the Royal Society, and then Prof. Norlund gave his presidential address on “The Figure of the Earth”.
