Abstract
A LTHOUGH the life-histories of the most im-l\ port-ant marine organisms have been worked out in the past, there is very little known in many cases regarding the detailed changes that take place during the critical stages separating larval life from that of the adult, while the study of tho physiology of invertebrate larvae has been almost entirely neglected.
