Abstract
THE second season?s exploration of the Prehistoric Research Expedition of the Royal Anthropological Institute to Kharga Oasis, Egypt, under Miss G. Caton-Thompson and Miss E. Gardner, was devoted to the further examination of the?fossil? or dead springs of Pleistocene age, discovered in the first season, which promised a fruitful line of inquiry in palolithic stratigraphy and paloclimatic conditions, and the dating of the tufa deposits and sheets of gravel on the eastern scarp.
